Getting Started on the Right Foot
Peak Improvements’ GUARANTEED PRICE + NO SURPRISE CONTRACT is the fourth step in our six-stage process.
From the first meeting, we work with homeowners to establish open communication and trust. We’ll visit your home, discuss your vision, and begin assessing the details of your project.
Once complete, the second phase begins with a written scope of work, including initial budget values and a proposed timeline. These initial proposals serve as a baseline for our detailed design process.
Next, we pair our clients with a member of our in-house design team to select the right finishes, features, and overall aesthetics for their renovation. During the third phase, your design partner will help you plan all the particulars, including a complete set of blueprints and finishing details, and will provide a 3D overview to help visualize the finished product.
Once all design elements have been selected and confirmed, the build team will start investigations to uncover any potential obstacles to completing the project as planned. Finally, we work to secure competitive bids from our trusted trade partners to get our customers the best possible value.
Completing all planning and design work upfront allows us to provide a comprehensive, detailed contract. Our process is designed to work out the kinks and challenges before construction begins, allowing us to offer precise timelines and budgets for our customers, giving them peace of mind throughout their project.

Peak Improvements uses detailed milestone-based pricing to ensure transparency throughout the construction process. As construction milestones are reached, payments directly corresponding to the completed work are made. This allows our clients to see their investment come to life and guarantees accountability on all sides throughout construction.
The final payment on every Peak Improvements contract coincides with substantial completion. Here, we work with homeowners to create a “punch list” of finishing touches for your project. Once all items are complete and all parties are satisfied, the final payment is made, and the Certificate of Completion is issued.
Per the Builders’ Lien Act of Alberta, Peak Improvements will secure a holdback of 10% of the contract price. This holdback provides the clients with the added security knowing that all invoicing associated with their project has been paid in full.
